Sometimes your body feels tight, your mind noisy, your heart a little overwhelmed. Reiki offers a way to soften all of that—a quiet invitation to come back to yourself.


Reiki is a gentle, energy-based healing practice that supports relaxation, balance, and emotional clarity. It works by channelling universal life energy to where your body needs it most, helping to calm your nervous system and create space for healing on all levels.


Reiki doesn't ask you to believe anything. It simply offers stillness, presence, and permission to let go.

What Is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is a Japanese healing practice developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. The word itself means "universal life energy", the gentle energy that flows through and around all living things.


During a Reiki session, I use gentle touch or hold my hands just above your body to channel this energy to you. It's not about fixing or diagnosing. Instead, it's about supporting your body's natural ability to restore balance: emotionally, mentally, and physically.


Reiki is deeply intuitive. It goes where it's needed, and every session is different. Some people feel warmth or tingling, others feel calm or emotional release. You may not feel much at all, and that's perfectly okay. The work is happening, whether it's felt in the moment or not.
Many people turn to Reiki when they're:

  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed or energetically depleted

  • Struggling to quiet a busy mind or find ease with stress

  • Moving through transitions, grief, or periods of uncertainty

  • Wanting to reconnect with their body's wisdom

Reiki is gentle, grounding, and supportive, like pressing pause for your whole system.

What to Expect in a Reiki Session

Reiki sessions are peaceful, nurturing, and deeply relaxing. Here's what you can expect:
 

  • You'll remain fully clothed, lying comfortably on a massage table or sitting—whatever feels best for you
     

  • I'll place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body, following the flow of energy

  • You're welcome to talk, rest, or drift—this is your time
     

  • Each session typically lasts 45–60 minutes
     

  • You might feel warmth, tingling, heaviness, or spaciousness—or simply a calm presence. Whatever you feel (or don't feel) is just right
     

After a session, many people describe feeling lighter, clearer, or deeply rested.
